Course Description

The Department Qualification Exam (DQE) is a language assessment tool used by the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism. It covers areas such as spelling, punctuation, plurals, possessives, confusing words, agreement, and pronoun case. The DQE can provide a useful evaluation of anyone's language skills. However, successful completion is required of students before they can enroll in MCJ Department skills courses. A three-hour reviewing DQE topics is offered on the first weekend. The exam will be held and administered in the University Testing Center.
