Course Description

With revitalization in full swing in downtown Fresno, this class will satisfy your curiosity about the movers and shakers who built Fresno¿s extraordinary structures. Have you ever wondered at the vision, perhaps, of the T.W. Patterson skyscraper building which continues to dominate the city¿s skyline? This course will introduce you to the history and origins of a selection of iconic downtown structures, including the T.W. Patterson building, the Security Bank building on Fulton Street, the Warnor¿s Theatre, and perhaps a sneak peak into the origins of Bitwise South Stadium. Did you know this building used to be the Phelan Garage? Join us in this history and share your reminiscences.
